About the Role

As a Content Writer at Mindvalley, your role is vital in conveying transformative ideas and marketing messages to a diverse audience. Your talent for translating our core brand values into impactful content is instrumental in helping individuals on their journey to self-improvement. You'll create various types of articles with high editorial standards, covering a wide range of topics for our blog, as well as producing long-form content projects that require in-depth research and compelling narratives. Your ability to craft creative copy for our blog, web pages, and brand campaigns, all while aligning with our brand voice and values, is crucial. You'll also collaborate with the team, providing feedback and proofreading, and work towards expanding our blog's reach, engaging readers, and optimizing content for SEO. Your passion for personal growth and contribution to our mission of building a school for humanity are key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Content Creation:

    • Write various types of articles with high journalistic and editorial standards, covering a wide range of topics for our blog.
    • Produce long-form content projects that require in-depth research and a compelling narrative.
    • Craft creative copy for our blog, web pages, and brand campaigns, ensuring engagement and alignment with brand messaging.
    • Understand and embody the Mindvalley brand voice, ensuring all content aligns with brand values and the Mindvalley brand filter.

Collaboration and Feedback:

    • Skillfully proofread and edit existing content to maintain quality and consistency.
    • Provide constructive feedback to other contributors and collaborate effectively with team members.
    • Leads by example, identifies opportunities for team improvement, and creates systems and processes.

Audience Engagement and Growth:

    • Work towards expanding our blog's reader base, converting visitors into leads, and increasing overall reach.

Copywriting and SEO:

    • Skillful in crafting compelling copy for blog articles, landing pages, and brand campaigns.
    • Solid understanding of SEO content writing, including keyword research and optimization.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proofreading and Editing: High-level proofreading and editing skills to maintain editorial standards.
  • Diverse Content Types: Experience in writing various content types, including articles, blog posts, video blog posts, and social media posts.
  • Copywriting: Skillful in crafting compelling copy for web push notifications, landing pages, and brand campaigns.
  • SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEO content writing, including keyword research and optimization.
  • Editorial Experience: Previous editorial role experience with content campaigns, curation, and production.
  • WordPress and HTML: Familiarity with the WordPress editorial interface and basic HTML knowledge.

Soft Skills:

  • Brand Alignment: Ability to align content with Mindvalley's brand voice and values.
  • Feedback and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to provide constructive feedback and work with diverse personalities.
  • Leadership: Leads by example, identifies opportunities for team improvement, and creates systems and processes.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content writing, journalism, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality, engaging content.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse content types and styles.
